چکیده

Bi-reforming of methane (BRM) is gaining an increase interest due to the critical requirements mitigate global warming and provide alternative energy resources. However, there has been a serious challenge scale-up process commercial production catalyst deactivation. In present study, influence ZrO2 modifications on activity stability MgO-supported Ni in BRM reaction was investigated. The ZrO2-MgO mixed oxide support prepared by co-precipitation method with variation composition subsequently impregnated Ni. characterization freshly Ni/MgO Ni/MgO-ZrO2 catalysts using N2 physisorption analysis, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), FESEM, XPS, H2-TPR, CO2-TPD techniques revealed suitable physicochemical properties for reaction. showed improved performance terms compared at 800°C CH4, H2O, CO2 ratio 3:2:1, respectively. best obtained Ni/15%ZrO2-MgO CH4 conversion 81.5% 82.5%, spent Raman spectroscopy, High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) analysis formation amorphous carbon that could be responsible its fast

Syngas from CO2 Reforming of Coke Oven Gas: synergetic effect of activated carbon / Ni-γAl2O3 Catalyst

The CO2 reforming of coke oven gas for the production of synthesis gas has been studied over an activated carbon, an in-lab prepared Ni/Al2O3 catalyst and physical mixtures of both materials in different proportions (AC+Ni) at 800 oC. It was found that there are two possible coexisting reaction pathways: the direct dry reforming of methane (decomposition of methane followed by gasification of t...

CO2 Reforming of Coke Oven Gas Over a Ni/γAl2O3 Catalyst to Produce Syngas for Methanol Synthesis

The CO2 reforming of coke oven gases (COG) was carried out over a Ni/γAl2O3 catalyst in order to obtain a suitable syngas for methanol synthesis. The influence of different operating conditions, such as temperature and volumetric hourly space velocity (VHSV), was studied. It was found that the H2 present in the feed gas promotes the Reverse Water Gas Shift reaction (RWGS), which produces water....

Amino acid modified Ni catalyst exhibits reversible H2 oxidation/production over a broad pH range at elevated temperatures.

Hydrogenases interconvert H2 and protons at high rates and with high energy efficiencies, providing inspiration for the development of molecular catalysts. Studies designed to determine how the protein scaffold can influence a catalytically active site have led to the synthesis of amino acid derivatives of [Ni(P2(R)N2(R'))2](2+) complexes, [Ni(P2(Cy)N2(Amino acid))2](2+) (CyAA). It is shown tha...

Synthesis of Ethanol from Syngas over Rh/MCM-41 Catalyst: Effect of Water on Product Selectivity

The thermochemical processing of biomass is an alternative route for the manufacture of fuel-grade ethanol, in which the catalytic conversion of syngas to ethanol is a key step. The search for novel catalyst formulations, active sites and types of support is of current interest. In this work, the catalytic performance of an Rh/MCM-41 catalyst has been evaluated and compared with a typical Rh/Si...
